| 1:19 am | [filtered to Bats who are their usual ages] I hadn't expected to be here again. These sudden arrivals and departures are inconvenient and disorienting. I can't yet tell how long it has been here, but evidence suggests some time has passed and much that once existed must be remade. I have a great deal of work to do. |

| 8:02 pm | Why so sad? You need to cheer up and I have just the thing. Have fun with your surprises! [OOC: So, Joker!Bats has gone around leaving gifts outside of doors. Inside, there are toys or noisemakers and other party favors. Some of these are normal, some give off Joker gas. Up to you which your characters get. Joker gas makes everything seem funny. Characters affected by it can't stop laughing. Normally, it's also fatal, but as I'm not sure anyone who can make the antidote is available, this time it isn't, merely disabling. Hard to fight or do much when laughing constantly. Naturally, those who don't breathe would be unaffected.] |

I have already learned how few here have strength of character enough to deserve any amount of trust. I am certain whomever is in charge, if anyone, has done the same, which raises the question of why we are still here and why new residents still arrive. | 11:07 pm | [private | extremely difficult to hack] Day 001 I am uncertain of the date and of my current location. The oddness of the surroundings and the bizarre behavior of the inhabitants makes me hypothesize that I am somehow in Arkham Asylum, yet none of the residents are familiar. Where is the Joker? Ivy? The Penguin? Nor does this building seem quite right, unless somehow my memory is failing me. I cannot recall arriving here or why I should be here. Was it a trick? Have I somehow failed and fallen for a trap? My very lack of memory is alarming. All that remains is to investigate and remain as quiet as possible until I can determine the truth of my current circumstances. |
